Week 2 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers - 21 vs Carolina Panthers - 28

Before the start of the game this week, the Carolina Panthers signed Kick Off Specialist Rhys Lloyd to resume his duties from last season as the Panthers held their home opener this week against a division rival in Tampa Bay. Of course the game was close and the no turnover ball that is preached to the Panthers before the game didn't have an affect as Jimmy Clausen fumbled the ball twice, luckily it was only recovered by the Buccaneers once. Jimmy Clausen did have another good effort throwing the ball by making it through his second game without an interception and he finally got his first touchdowns of the year. One coming with 40 seconds left in the first half on a 40 yard strike to a wide open Clowney in the endzone, the other was an unsuspecting screen pass to Deangelo Williams for a 75 yard score. Jimmy Clausen finished the game completing 12 of 18 passes for 264 yards. Deangelo Williams got a majority of the carries this week again as he had 20 carries for 106 yards and a touchdown, the last touchdown was the first touchdown of the game scored by Jonathan Stewart in the goal line. Of course the defense for a second game in the row seemed to be gashed by a running attack as the Caddy had 76 yards on the ground and in the late stages of the second quarter, the Panthers fans held their breaths as Jon Beason was sidelined for the rest of the game, MRI's revealed that it was nothing major and he is expected to play week three vs the Bengals and with the return of another missing starter on the defensive line, we will get to see how the Panthers fair against the running game against Cedric Benson. The game was close with the Buccaneers looking to get a game tying score underneath two minutes but Chris Gamble was able to get his first interception of the season to stop the comeback as the Panthers held on to go to 2 and 0 on the season.
